Building ManateezOS: A Creative Operating System

Role
Design Lead, Creative Operations
Focus
Creative operations, workflow design, internal systems, AI-assisted workflows, production experience
Impact
Created greater visibility into the production process, clearer ownership between teams, and a more repeatable way for work to move from customer request to finished product.
Challenge
As production grew, information was spread across conversations, software, production sheets, and individual team members. The recurring questions became simple but costly: What's approved? What's next? Who owns it? Where is the order?
The challenge was not another piece of software. It was designing a system people would actually use.
Contribution
I approached the operation like a design problem. I mapped how work moved from intake through artwork, approval, production, and fulfillment, then began building the tools and workflows around that journey.
That included production queues, intake systems, internal dashboards, standardized handoffs, customer-facing experiences, automation, and AI-assisted workflows. Rather than treating each problem as an isolated fix, I began connecting them into a larger operating system: ManateezOS.
Outcome
An evolving creative operating system that brings the people, processes, and technology behind Manateez into a more connected workflow. Instead of relying on tribal knowledge and constant check-ins, the goal is a production environment where priorities, ownership, and next steps are visible by design.
